Sometimes I Sits and Thinks and Other Times I Just Sits...
so I was home last night, when at about 7 pm I got a call from the answering service. One of the instructors for a big class in the Ellsworth area cancled... So I made a few calls and by 9pm I was on the road headed for the Comfort Inn. I got here about 10:30 last night. I will be here until after the class tomorrow...when I will hopefully get home in time to get to Z's spring concert.
I find I don't really travel well alone. I don't shop. I don't go out for meals. I just hang out in my hotel room and read or watch TV. So tonight I am just sitting here not making the "list" and surfing. I hope you all have a great weekend.

WHAT?!?!?!?
So last night I was watching one of my favorite summer shows "So You Think You Can Dance". They were showing the auditions. Some of the people who show up for these things are really good, some are really bad, and some...well some are just odd. One girl in particular caught my attention. She was not chosen to move on in the competition and when asked why by the interview crew she said "I think it is because I am too tall. They are racist against tall people" There is so much wrong with this statement I don't know where to begin. However, I have come to these conclusions...
1. The next time you apply for a job you do not have to disclose your height.
and...
2. I have been a victim of ageism because I am white...

It's the 21st Century
So I called the phone company yesterday and found out the DSL is finally available at my house. GOODBYE DIAL UP!! They will be coming to hook us up the first week of June. If this realy happens (I still have my doubts since I havent seen anyone working on the lines in the area) I will be very excited... I will let you know how it turns out.

Come In...
I have a new front door.(I am hoping to put a pic up soon).
I have always wanted a bright red front door and now I have one. My mom got me the door for Mother's day and we painted it. T put it in for me on Mother's day. I realy like it. Not only is it red it also has a window I am actualy tall enough to see out of in it. So if someone is on the porch I don't have to rely on the dogs to let me know. Having the window also lets so much light into the front room, it makes a huge difference.

It's all a Blur...
So I have been out of the office three days this week. This is always difficult for me. I come back and feel so behind. It has been a crazy week with flooding, lifeguard classes and seminars... I am ready for the weekend!
