WOW!!!

So the party went well. There were about 25-30 people there I don’t really keep count I just measure by how many left overs I have. Not too many this year. It has only taken me 8 years but I’m finally getting the hang of this monster party thing. I finally know what I have to make on which days so I’m not running around like a crazy person Saturday morning trying to get it all done.

Z had a great time and took in a pretty significant haul. It looked like Toys r Us threw up in my living room. Taco bought him a couple of really cool transformers… he loves them!! These things amaze me I am convinced you need an engineering degree just to change them from car to robot. After watching a couple of people do this for him Z can now do it on his own.

Now let me tell you about the crazy part of the party. Z has a classmate who came. This little girl is a horror. Now I have worked with kids with some behavior issues in the past and they were nothing compared to this girl. She was mouthy, bossy, and just plain awful. After decaling loudly, that she wanted to be in every picture… she started telling Z what gifts to open next. Then what they should do after the gifts were open. When she didn’t get her way she started being very mouthy to some of the adults at the party, including telling one of them to “shut your half white pie hole”. Now of course I did what I could telling her that in my house we don’t talk to people like that I she calmed down a little at that point. She got riled up again when Z was sitting between two older girls on the couch watching one of the movies he got. “She’s not your girlfriend, I am” she so delicately shouted at Z, to which he responded. “No you’re not!! You’re not even a good friend!”

Z being the considerate boy that he is gave an invitation to every child in his class because he didn’t want anyone left out. Even though he doesn’t really like everyone in his class. Originally when he told me this I commended him. What I nice thing to do I was so proud. Immediately after this Girl’s parents picked her up Z came to me and said “See why I don’t like her! That is why I was hoping she wouldn’t come”!

Until Later…

Whoa! Can only imagine what the mother of that trash talking preteen is like!! Unfortunately in a few years it won't even be nearly as funny.
Life in rural Maine...my girlfriends son had his party this weekend..invited the whole class and as she picked up one kid - he had been standing in the rain..she said she almost passed out from the "homeless person" type smell the poor kid had. They had to drive to Ellsworth (30 miles)! She said it was way worse than a wet dog....poor kid.
